Raising a Village is founded on the belief that
it takes a village, a community, to support every new generation
and those that surround and support them.
Raising a Village strives to support the village that provides young children
and their families what they need to be well-supported and well-prepared for life.

The koru, or unfurling tree fern leaf, a spiral-shaped symbol
is used to represent Raising a Village’s mission and purpose.
In the Māori culture, the koru represents new life, growth, strength and peace,
all which are necessary to support the young child, their family and their community or village.
As young children develop into their adulthood, and the next generation is established, the cycle of life continues in perpetuity;
all represented within the koru symbol.
